New iMac/New Asus Router

Hi all,

I have my new Imac and just purchased a new Asus RT-AC66R router. Everything works perfectly with my new mac except for my Seagate USB HD connected on the router. I have it formatted as MAC OS Extended, I bet the router can't see that format and I should format into Exfat???? Not sure....Any thoughts????

Why not just plug it in straight to your computer? Does it work plugging it straight in to your mac?

Yes, plugging the external HD works with the new iMac, but I would like to be able to access files on the external HD via the router. I think think that is the only way.
