Hi,

this is my first post so please be gentle!
I bought my first imac on saturday & i have an existing Sky wireless network which was previously working with a laptop, desktop pc & iphone with (almost) no problems.
The room i have the mac is has suffered with poor wifi reception before, so initailly set the mac up downstairs within 3 feet of the wireless router...all worked fine.
but as i have to have the mac upsatirs this was only a temporary setup, so i moved the job lot upsaitrs. I live in a terraced house & the upstairs positioning is about 10 feet above the router & about 6 feet across, so its not 'far' away. there are no internal walls, just the floor for the wifi to pass through.
Anyway, in the upstairs the room, the mac can 'see' the network but can't connect to it.

along came a Airport Express to boost the signal but i have problems connecting that, so moved everything back down stairs & plug the Airport Express in downstairs to...& it got worse...nothing will connect at all on the imac...it can't see the Express even though its 2foot away!

However, the laptop & iphone all work fine in all locations!

WTF do i need to do!!
