Hi,

I've searched around but can't find an answer to this problem...

I have just got a new iMac and used Migration Assistant to reinstall everything that was on my old iMac. Unfortunately the new computer isn't recognizing my iPhone 4. Surely there's an easy way to do this without erasing everything on the phone?

Any advice would be gratefully received.

thanks,
R ;)

can you elaborate as to what exactly happens when you connect your iPhone to your iTunes? When you did the Migration Assistant, does your iTunes have all the musics and iPhone apps on the new iMac also?

Did you first open iTunes and authorize the new computer with your existing account?

yeah, contect your iPhone to the new computer with authorization and then sync. the data from your iPhone.
