I presently using a ibook G4. I want a 24" imac. Was looking at the 2.66 GHZ and 2.93 GHZ. I use it for just home use. Uses are Searching net, no games, several programs, financial, word etc., iphotos, and itunes. I just want it faster. Then I started to read and have started to look at last years model 2.8ghz. If I get the 2.8ghz would add more ram to be 4 gb. Cosmetically these are all the same? Help me with which way to go. Thank you

Don't waste your money on something you don't need. Buy the old one and spend the change on doing something worthwhile.

For what you're looking for last year's will be absolutely fine, especially if you max out the RAM.

It will completely blow your iBook away.
