Hello all,
I have an iMac on order and I'm switching from PC to iMac. I have a Seagate 1tb external hard drive to backup files from PC to move to iMac. However, I want to continue to use the same Seagate to backup a Windows laptop.

Is there a functional (without much ongoing effort) method to use the Seagate for iMac and PC? Or is buying another hard drive better. Looking into formatting Seagate as FAT32 to see if it works. But have some faily big video files approaching 4gb.

I would probably keep it NTFS... and copy the filies over from the PC. Then read them into the Mac. Mac reads NTFS OK.

Then I would continue to use that drive for the PC... and buy a new one for the Mac.

The other option is to get a network attached drive... which would be read/write from both platforms.
