Hi.. just bought my first imac couple of days back.
Also bought Microsoft offive 2011
I have a small problem with using outlook
I work for 2 cos. and therefore need to signatures ...
So i made 2 signatures for the same... but once i write a new mail.. even though i select the 2nd signature.. it still keeps showing the first signature

Someone here might know MS Office for Mac however there is a dedicated forum for it at:

Having lived through Entourage, tried Outlook, and done all kinds of database repairs, my best advice is to put a bullet through its brain and use Apple's Mail. Outlook for the Mac is different from Outlook for Windows; your prior experience with Outlook for Windows will not really help. Mail is better behaved and much less quirky.

This is an Outlook problem, not an iMac problem.

Regardless...

  • Open Outlook Preferences (Outlook from the menu bar, then Preferences...)
  • Click Signatures
  • Make a mental note of the Signature name of the signature you want as your default.
  • Click the Default Signatures... button.
  • For the Account you are using, ensure the signature you want is selected for Default signature.

Outlook 2011 signatures for multiple accounts

I have the same issue, two accounts but the signatures won't automatically swap, and the above solution doesn't work. Is there a fix?

I am a Windows Outlook 2007 convert to Gmail webmail to Lion Mail. My advice is switch to Mail, I have 4 accounts setup and 4 different and they all work well. One thing I do miss is the ability to request a mail receipt.
