Regarding setting up new iMac, how would I transfer my songs from previous iMac?

Do I have to set up new iTunes account or use Time Machine to restore?

If you want to migrate everything (apps, data files, etc..) then use Setup Assistant. If you are using Lion on the new machine follow:

You can use:

http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1229?viewlocale=en_US but using Setup Assistant is a much wiser choice.
