When iMac's came out they were a standard 15 inch crt

Then the lcd model had a 15 inch and 17 inch version

The latest iMac has 17 inch and a 20 inch model

So this makes me ask, what about the new iMac's?

I strongly predict a 19 inch and 24/23 (1920x1200 resolution) inch model

Why?

Widescreen 19 inch panels are the hottest thing right now, they have the same resolution as the 17 inch iMac, and people genuinly like bigger.

And it's about time we got an HD iMac don't you think?

I hope the new iMac's borrow some taste from the cinema displays, the white plexiglass look is a little too ... i just don't like it to be honest. It's tolerable, but it doesn't make me awe in its presence like a cinema display does.

here here just something bigger than 20" widescreen and I'd probably trade my 20" I have now in for one :)

If Apple goes bigger on the iMac they need to get rid of the "chin" On a screen as big as these there isnt really a reason that I see that they need to keep using the stretched size's unless they get a great deal on those stretched screens.

Very very few people actually want a lower DPI, especially with the thought of Leopard including "Resolution Independance".

well they do make 1680x1050 (current iMac 20 inch resolution) 19 inch screens

I know but your original post says people prefer 19" screens with the same resolution as the current 17"...
