New iMac Transfer From MacBook Backup?

Hello, I just ordered a Refurbed 21' iMac today. I currently have a mid 2007 MacBook running Lion that I have been backing up to an external HD via Time Machine (wirelessly).

When I get the iMac...

1) Should I install the free Lion upgrade first?

2) Can I just set up the iMac directly from the MacBook backups? (When it asks if I want to transfer files from another Mac?)

3) Will I need to change the name of the Backup for future backups because I plan on wiping the MacBook and selling it?

I would really just like a seamless switch from MacBook to iMac with all my same data, setup, etc.

Since the backup is of a Lion machine, you'll need Lion on the destination before you can migrate from it.

3. Time Machine will start a new backup set for the new machine on its own.
