I just bought a 24" Alu iMac. I sold my old iMac so I could buy it. I am pretty impressed with it so far. The one problem I am having though is with the Apple remote. It doesn't seem to work. I push the Menu button and Front Row doesn't come up. I try to change the volume and that doesn't change either. It almost acts like a device with a low battery. Every once in a while it will let me change the song in itunes or change the volume; but the majority of the time, it doesn't work at all.

any ideas? Thanks.

Open photobooth and hold up the remote to the iSight. If you see a light flash on the end of the remote (The black bit) when you press the buttons, it's not a low battery.

But try it and see. You might just have a low battery.

I did what you said. I pushed the button several times and I only saw the light flash on the first push. The rest of the time I pushed the button nothing happened.

Should I take the apple remote into the Apple store and get another one?
