New iMac v. Refurb iMac - Value + Performance

I know there have been posts like this one, but I wanted to get advice on the specific models I am looking at. I am deciding between the Refurbished iMac 21.5-inch 3.06GHz Intel Core 2 Duo with ATI Radeon HD 4670 graphics with 256MB memory for $1,099.00 (I get the student discount) vs. the iMac 21.5-inch 3.20GHz Intel Core i3 with ATI Radeon HD 5670 with 512MB memory for $1,399.00. What do you guys think as far as value + performance? Thanks.

Studen discount does not apply to refurb machines. And it depends on what you plan to use it for.
