New iMac

I have the latest 21" imac on the way; my current machine is a core 2 duo ... what I'm wondering about is whether I will need to reinstall third party apps from scratch (for instance, WoW)... I have a 2TB external HD I've used for back-ups, but am not sure as to how to proceed.
