I'm getting a mac in a very near future and I was wondering with the new intel chips and everything, are there any keyboard issues anymore? Does any keyboard work on a mac or we still need keyboards and mouses that are compatible with macs?

Thx

Anything will do, the keys will just be slightly remapped for mac though as opposed to windows.

You could use any keyboard/mouse with PowerPC Macs, too...

Why do people think that the rules from the 90s still apply?!

because people who use windows still think that macs are incompatible with everything and have the same misconceptions as they did when OS 9 was around.
