Can anyone tell me the differences between the recently released Penryn and the upcoming Montevina processors and their chipsets? A few things I am wondering are: does the Montevina support more than 4 gb of ram, does the Montevina use less power, how much more powerful is it going to be?

I am only looking for a comparison of these two processors and the differences in their specs. I don't care about release dates or when it is going in a MBP.

Thanks

Penryn already supports > 4GB of ram, the only trouble is > 2GB SoDIMM modules do not exist.

Montevina is going to be revolutionary though, much like the change from a 286 to a Pentium. They are finally going to drop all the legacy old x86 crud that has accumulated in the design over the years.

Oh, and by the way, keep on waiting.
