Hi,

My macbook screen is super dim. You can see it under the light, but without it, the screen really isn't visible. I know it must be something with the inverter or the lcd bulb but how exactly would I isolate the problem (no extra lcd laying around and I don't have one of those nifty 12v ac/dc connected to inverter and switch, connected to a bulb to test the inverter). Is there a way to find out exactly what the problem is? I figure, it's probably not the inverter cable, since I can still see the screen - just extremely low visibility. If it's the lcd bulb, would the screen light up at all? Or if it's the inverter, would there be a picture?

Since parts are relatively cheap, I suppose I could play the guessing game and replace the inverter, see what happens, if that doesn't fix it, replace the bulb, see what happens, etc. ANy way to isolate the problem though?

Thanks in advance.

Corey
