new invitation alerts - what do they do?

I'm afraid i dont' have exchange but is it something to do with MS exchange or is this something for MM?

I don't know what it is, but it's only for Exchange. The icon doesn't appear in Calendar even unless you have Exchange.

It happens when someone emails you a meeting request via Outlook (Exchange, or not) - although it may also be possible to do this via other applications too.

I've just tested it and taken some screenshots for you...

Are you sure it works without exchange?

I've MM. I used outlook on my pc to send a meeting to my mobileMe account as an invitee. I get the email and attachement as an .ics file but no screenshot as you have below... can you talk me through what you've done?

Ah, apologies - I was only speculating it would work. I'm connected via Exchange.
