iOS 26.4 moves the feature to show how much mobile data connected devices have used via Personal Hotspot to a more prominent and easily accessible location.

Now available in Personal Hotspot settings below the "Maximize Compatibility" toggle, the functionality breaks down data usage by device, with non-Apple devices simply showing up as a group of "Other Devices." Total Personal Hotspot Data usage is also displayed.

Previously, the feature was buried in cellular settings. It may be particularly helpful to those with a data limit on their carrier plan.

iOS 26.4 is now available in beta to developers. A public beta will be released in the near future. Apple plans to release the update in the spring.

I’d settle for the phone hotspot working without having to toggle it off and back on again every time first.

Small but useful change. Easier to see total data consumed. Looks like there is an option to see the number of devices and the name of devices connected to personal hotspot.

When you have multiple devices and your hotspot is running slow no one wants to go around they house and turn off each devices wifi when you could be able to block or disconnect those right from your phone. But then again I really don't expect much from apple by them even added that under hotspot saids to me so many people never new about the samething under data so this is really new to a lot of people But its been long over due. hopefully they add other feathers as well in the near future. Well of course after they figure out Siri lol.
