iPad New IOS 8.0 killed my card reader use

After recently upgrading my Ipad to IOS 8.0, I can no longer use my card reader which was working with the previous software versions. I get an error message stating "device not supported". How can I reinstall the previous software version. I see no advantage for me in IOS 8.0.

Apple has still been signing 7.1.2.
If they still are, restore to it.
