I noticed some apps loaded equally fast between my iPad 2, and my new iPad. However Real Racing II HD loaded dramatically faster on the new iPad. Perhaps the optimization really makes a difference, but overall I haven't noticed a huge speed increase, but dang is that display a pleasure to look at!
