i noticed my new iPad Air 2 with screen off is reflecting pinkish hue when place it under our ceiling light. when the screen's on i don't see anything unusual. anyone else notice this issue? i compared with my iphone 6 plus, and iphone reflects the true color of my ceiling lamp.

I guess this is the effect of the anti-reflection coating. You will notice this effect on some glasses too.

Yes, the iPad Air 2 has a new anti-reflective coating applied to the screen to reduce glare, in addition to the laminated screen :)

So that pinkish reflection is normal then? Can someone with iPad air 2 confirm this before I take a trip to Apple store. Thanks

You're going to go to the Apple Store because your iPad screen looks odd when the screen is OFF? I've seen it all now...

This forum is crazy.

Mine has the same pink effect when switched off and reflecting my ceiling lights. Its down to the anti reflective coating. Doesn't notice when the screen is switched on.

Not an issue. Don't worry about it.

Yeah no kidding.

Mine seems to have a purple hue when off. Seems normal when on though.

it is not crazy. if you have air1 and now air2, the screen may looks odd at first if you dont know it already that it is caused by the new coating. and when you read the op, you obviously noticed that he has also iphone6 and was compairing between them. so there is nothing crazy to ask about it.
