Received a new ipad air for the holidays and overall loving it. Only weirdness is that maybe every few days the usb-c port isn't recognized by chargers or accessories. I reboot it and the port is back. I couldn't find any other talk of this, and wondering if I should be looking to get this thing exchanged for a new one?

Thanks,

Mark

I’m using oem charger but plugged into a pioneer speaker during the day. The speaker does charge the ipad. When the port is dead neither oem or speaker are recognized. Is it possible the charging from the speaker is confusing it?

If it keeps doing it I’d get it exchanged. I haven’t had any usb-c issues with mine and I use the OEM charger and a third party dongle for connecting earphones. It shouldn’t make any difference anyway whether it’s OEM or not though really as it has to work with all.
