I'm looking at my 3rd gen iPad next to the iPad2, and it seems the colors are less saturated on the retina screen. Simple point of reference is the Photos app icon. On the iPad2 the flower falls more into a deeper orangy yellow, as does the sky being more blue. Even comparing against an iphone4, the same can be said.

Anyone confirm or deny this observation?

May want to try some other comparisons besides a tiny icon. Also, is your brightness set the same?
