Just got my new ipad 16gb wifi today. No dead pixels or light bleeding, screen perfect! Tried recording a video, no sound. Of course I had volume set to max. Tried a skype test call, I hear the nice lady giving the instructions, speak but can't hear my voice, no static, nothing. Also tried the little mic icon on the keyboard, no go...
Tried resetting to defaults from the ipad menu and also restored from itunes, nothing. The microphone doesn't work...
So it went back to the store and I am waiting for a new one. I hope that by the end of next week I'll have it back
