iPad New iPad on 5.1.1 only has iOS6 blobs, how?

Recently got a iPad 3 from apple, running 5.1.1. The perplexing thing is that tiny umbrella only detects iOS 6 blobs. Would appreciate if anyone can drop some knowledge about as to how this can occur.

You can only save blobs for the firmware being signed by apple at the time, or 6.0.0, for the iPad 3.
