Hi all.

I’m wondering if any of the beta testers have tried using their M1 iPad as the sidecar for a Mac while an external monitor is hooked up to the iPad. When side car is enabled, does the external monitor hooked up to the iPad:

  1. Display iPad OS even though the iPad is being used as sidecar?
  2. Go blank?
  3. Mirror the sidecar display?
  4. Do nothing because sidecar won’t work with an iPad + external display
I’m curious what happens when you do this. Maybe you can choose whether the iPad integrated display shows sidecar or the external monitor?

Just tried to do this. For me, it displays the iPad OS background image, then as soon as I move my mouse over to the iPad it crashes. So very broken at the moment. Hope apple fixes this, would be ideal if the external display became a second sidecar screen, but it should at least mirror the iPad screen
