I have always used android but now I took the leap and bought a refurbished iPad 2. Great deal when compared to all other android tablets on the market. Anybody else choose to get the iPad 2 refurbished?

Also I know this is sentimental but I also chose the iPad 2 because it is the last iPad that Steve Jobs introduced. Anybody else choose to get the iPad 2 refurbished?

Nope I bought mine brand new at launch last year. I'm selling it now and getting the new iPad.

No. Because I am not in any way affiliated with Steve or his family.

Plus, given the option, I'd rather have the new iPad for the screen.

Also, most Android tablets have a better resolution that the iPad/2, so dont expect much.

In a way I'm getting a refurb, I am inheriting an ipad2 from a loved one who just bought a 32gig 4G. Mine will be a 16gig wifi. Not a ton of space, but I'm currently storing podcasts and music on a 2gig(SAD!) blackberry lol so it will be a BIG improvement!

Congrats, welcome to the apple kingdom :D Hope you'll enjoy your new tab as much as Android, and much more! It would be cool to compare them both for the benefit of us readers.

Apple's refurbished products are always solid. You get the same (or just about the same) warranty as you do on a new product, so it's a great way to get Apple products for a bit cheaper than retail.

OP - I hope you find the iPad a great piece of technology that is at least as good, but hopefully better than whatever Android tech you used in the past.

My "refurb" (IE: I'll be wiping my 2) will be shipped to my 17 year-old, shortly after my new one arrives.

iPad 2 is a solid machine. Do not listen to any of the naysayers here. You will love the iPad2. I've had mine now for several months and it is always with me.

Jailbreaking it is even better. :)

I bought a refurb iPad 2 & it seems brand new to me. It came with the same warranty as a new one & Apple puts in a brand new battery.

The refurbs are great, they're like new. But I must have the retina!

Once you like Apple iPad you will NEVER go back to Android! :)
