I can't remember back to last year, but is the review embargo usually a few days before official release?
So an Engadget review tomorrow then. I'm sure they've played with one for the past two days anyways.
Yeah, but betcha they told Walt Mossberg Thursday...I was told I could not say anything till Friday!![]()
Im not trying to downplay the improvements, but since the new iPad is just a better version of the old one then I'm not expecting much out of the reviews beyond the 1st impression reactions:
- The screen needs to be seen to be believed
- Websites seem snappier with the extra memory
- The camera is good but the iPad is awkward
- LTE speeds are like having WiFi on the road, but with data caps
- Something derogatory about the competitors being 2 years behind
Im not saying I won't read the reviews. Its just that there isn't much new to say about it since everything is "better" but nothing is necessarily new.
I want to know more about the bezel gestures...there seems to be a dearth of info on it. Unless I'm overlooking it.![]()

Jason S. said:There are no bezel gestures. That might be why you aren't finding any info on it.
They were talking about pulling something onto the screen from the edge. The iPad has no sensors on the bezel.
Strange that they call it "bezel gestures" and not just "gestures" though. They were talking about pulling something onto the screen from the edge. The iPad has no sensors on the bezel.
Someone's gonna be disappointed on Friday...
reviews should be available later today.

Not really. All I said was I want to know more about it.
Yupp. I bet they have already been written and are ready to go up. Engadget will likely draw first blood.
