New iPad takes 9 hours to charge??

Hello,
I bought the new iPad 16 gig wifi, and I have been charging starting at 10%. It takes me 9 hours to get 100%. I charged it on three different occasions. Does anyone else have this problem? Does anyone have a solution? Thanks for any input !

Nine is a little more than I would expect. When you charge, put the iPad into airplane mode and ensure that Bluetooth is off. This will improve charging times.

If the problem persists, you might have a slightly below par charger.

Yeah, I was thinking they must be using an iPhone charger. Mine takes 4-5 hours to charge to full from 1%.

same experience 11 hours to charge new iPad

I'm using the charger that came with my 64GB Verizon wireless new ipad, and had the same experience. I wasn't plugged into funky power or anything - directly into the wall with the charger they provided.
