I am in the market for an ipad. i wanted to know how much difference does teh A6 processor make. I do not play games. The main use of ipad for me is garageband, iphoto, email, browsing, you tube etc.

I suggest you wait until people have them, compare and review them.
By the way, I think the "New iPad" is the 3rd generation (iPad 3) and the "iPad with Retina Display" is the 4th generation (iPad 4).
What a mess Apple has made with their iPad naming conventions.
Why on earth they can't name them by number like the phones, I'll never understand. I thought that would be the case when the iPad 2 first came out but then all hell broke loose.
