new Ipad's standby battery drain is awesome

I have it outside in the living room hooked up via the digital AV connector. It's mainly for my parents when they want to stream movies. Last two days they haven't even touched it, today's the third day. I go check on the battery status and it's at 99%. Wow, amazing. It's on the wifi network too, I would've thought the drain rate would be similar to that of a cellphone on a cell network on standby mode, 6-8% drain every 8hrs.
