I'm surprised I haven't seen any threads about this yet...

Apple's website states:

iPhone 4 Case Program
If you purchase an iPhone 4 before September 30, 2010, you are eligible for a case at no charge.

So what does this mean for purchases of iPhone 4's after 9/30? A new redesign (iPhone 4.1)? iPhone 4 purchases come WITH the bumper case in the package?

What? The forums are CRAWLING with threads about this.

There is no redesign, Apple are just ceasing the "free cases for everyone" and changing it to a "free case if you complain" program.

I'm surprised you haven't seen threads about this either, considering the sheer volume of them on here. After September 30th if you still have a problem with signal attenuation you can call AppleCare to get a bumper.

Well I don't have an iPhone 4 (still using the 3GS), maybe that's why I haven't noticed the threads.

I'll probably get the iPhone 4 next June/July when an update comes--2 yr with the 3GS means I get upgrade discount!

LOL @this thread and OP thinking he is the 1st to ask.

I never thought my thread was the 1st. I remember reading a similar thread a few weeks ago (I forget the actual thread now) and everyone seemed to have shrugged at the idea that anything was happening after 9/30.

by then there will be an iPhone 5.

That'd be nice!

The OP is not planning to get an iPhone 4 and yet asks questions about it without bothering to check out the forum or the search.

Classic!

Actually, I did search--found nothing. I searched for 'new iPhone' and found nothing. But I just searched now for 'September iPhone' and now see why this topic has been

I'm sorry for wasting your time...

No - they just won't be giving them out to any and every iPhone 4 purchaser. If you have signal problems you call AppleCare and they'll give you a bumper if need be.

Apple just issued a press release that the iPhone 4A will be released October 1st at all Apple and AT&T Mobility retail stores.

The upgrade cost will be $99 plus the trade-in of your current iPhone 4, or $149 plus the trade-in of your iPhone 3GS. For 8GB and 16GB users, you will have the option of paying an additional $99 to double the memory capacity to 16GB and 32GB, respectively.

Interestingly, there is no additional contract extension, as it's a straight purchase (with trade-in), so all transactions have to be performed at your local retail store. Online orders are for direct purchases at their normal retail price.

Ok guys, calm down...sheesh!

All of you bashing are just as bad as the people who make the topics.

I interpreted his question to mean, now that its September 30th has apple come up with a permanent fix to the antenna issues SOME people are facing.

Peace
