Word is that an unlock is coming out right after apple releases 4.2 It wouldn't make sense to release the unlock right now, because then apple would just patch it when they release 4.2 in november. So, very soon it will be unlockable. You might want to get one with 4.1 so you can save it's shsh's to aid in preserving baseband in the future.
