New Iphone 4 USB Issues

Hey got a new iphone 4, I tried connecting it to my macbook and it keeps connecting, then disconnecting a few times, then an error message pops up in itunes saying theres a problem recognizing the device (im using win7 x64), i tried my sisters older 3g iphone connector and it works fine on my computer.
