Hi.

I purchased a new iPhone 4 from Apple, received it today, and plugged it into my iMac running the newest Mac OSX software and iTunes software. iTunes recognizes that the iPhone is connected, but keeps saying "accessing iTunes store" and never gets to the point where I can go through the activation process on iTunes. I tried re-downloading the iTunes software, but same issue. Can someone tell me why it is stuck at the "accessing iTunes store" message?

How long are you waiting? It takes a while sometimes. If not go back to the store that you bought it from and have them activate it because when i bought mine from Radio shack they activated it for me in like 15 seconds.

Try repairing disk permissions on your Mac.

Go -> Utilities -> Disk Utility -> Select Hard Drive -> Repair Disk Permissions -> Wait -> Restart Computer
