Got a new 7 which I’m really happy with, is it likely that Apple will continue iOS support for it, now that the se is coming out ?

It’s pretty much a shoe-in for iOS 14, albeit likely missing some of the latest and greatest whizz-bang features. I wouldn’t be surprised to see it get 15, but I also wouldn’t be terribly surprised if it didn’t.
The iPhone 7 is still a solid performer. I carry one with me daily in my classroom (or I did until schools closed). Congrats on your new phone :)

i have been using iphone 7 for 6 months and i am very pleased. but I do not think to update any more because something is confusing with the update. Yes, I know it's good to update for security, but the phone is a little old and with newer phones the operating system goes smoother. So my advice is to keep up-to-date. iOS 14 is sure to bring a lot of new things, but it will slow down older phones in my opinion. Each version is made for the new model, which also comes out.

Just bought two of them for the wife and I. $450 for two. I have a iPad I do all my heavy lifting on. iPhone 7 is still a good phone. Even if it gets one or two more updates the device will still continue to work. I know people on iPhone 6 and a few iPhone 5s.
