So I bought an iPhone 11 Pro coming from the X and I was not looking forward to setting up the new 11. In previous years all app data would be transferred from one phone to another or it would get downloaded from iCloud. WhatsApp would take ages but it worked. However all your local photos and videos would stay on your old device. You had to transfer the ones you wanted on your new device manually. And I want my photos transferred because I use the map function all the time to find restaurants, places I've been, etc.
To my surprise iOS 13 did it completely differently. Both iPhone's went off the Wi-Fi network and created a Wi-Fi direct network and it started transferring data for 1,5 hour. And when it was done..... my 150GB of photos and videos were on my new 11 Pro next to all my apps and app data.
I'm so impressed by this. It was the one thing I always disliked about getting a new iPhone. Now you can actually start enjoying your device when the transfer is done. Huge improvement.
