nice find, i really really really want to know what those seams are for.

anyone who is Portuguese care to translate?

Ok, I get it, Apple is to release iParts come June. Seriously though, what's up with all these images/videos of disassembled iPhone parts?? I know, I know, every mama and papa in Russia and Mongolia already have an iPhone part.

Show us the real thing!!

the seams aren't for anything, they're just seams... why do people read far too much into it??? its daft!

ummm the 3g and 3gs has screws, so thats nothing new....

no they are there for a reason. Apple are renound for their unibody designs, they wouldnt put black seams there for no reason. They definitely serve some sort of purpose.

and the reason why the above poster said there are screws there is because there was a leaked prototype that showed no screws.

It would be really cool if white light emanated from those seams when you had a notification. (like the pulsing sleep light on macbooks)if they aren't notification lights..then i think they are actually for shock absorbtion...I know, it's all I could come up with.

I suspect they are for some type of expansion or impact resistance. Seems unnecessary.

I don't think there was anything in that video that we haven't already seen before, unless I missed something.....

one early leaked prototype with no screws. the other ones had screws, as does the 3g and 3gs, so its nothing new.....

as for the seams, the black things are there so there's no gap for dust and crap. no significant reason, if they had any other function, then why do they not have any kind of cabling or ribbon coming from them going to the mainboard in the vids? you're reading WAY too much into it!!!
