Anyone notice when you are on a call with the new earpods it picks up every sound in the background? Like if I am doing something and makes a noise the person on the other end hears it extremely loud? I though they were supposed to cancel noise not increase it.

I haven't had a problem with the headphones but then again, I haven't asked anyone on the receiving end of conversations for feedback (bad choice of words) on the quality of the conversation.

Bottom line: I'll begin asking people on the other end if they have issues.

Good luck bud.

I'm with the OP. The new earpods are garbage. I work from home so I live on conference calls and the new earpods are useless. They work fine for music which leads me to believe that the noise canceling feature isn't working correctly. They keep cutting out as if it thinks I'm talking. This happens even when I'm on Mute. Speakerphone and the old earbuds work fine. I'm losing faith in Apple QA.
