My iPhone 3G had an intermitant headphone jack problem. I emptied out all the lint but was left with it only working if I pulled the jack out slightly. If I pushed it in all the way it either stopped working or I only got one channel of music.

I forked out to have a new jack and flexible PCB installed and now the new jack doesn't work at all!

Any help anyone?

I'm told it might be a logic board problem which is not repairable and would right the phone off (out of warranty).

Are there headphones which plug into the bottom connector? Last gasp hope!!
