New iPhone, no signal (o2)

Got a new 3GS on Friday and I gave Apple my PAC code as well. It worked fine all weekend but I now have no signal at all, either Searching or No Service. Is this because the number is being changed over today or do I need to take any action like reboot/take SIM out and reseat?

This is central London so no geographical signal issues.

yeah sounds like its the number being switched over, it can take a while, try turning it off and on every now and then

i was told to turn mine off when I got my PAC for my 3G and to turn ito n to check once ever hour.
