New iPhone on June 8th, plus price drop in in current 3g?

Iphone not gotta release on june 8 . I dont heard anything on apple . for sure they wont release .
This would be the anniversay date for Day One iPhoners. Cool.
I have no reason to hold this opinion, but it doesn't seem like a good idea to release the phone on the day before a major (US) holiday.
I work the financial industry, and there is word that apple is dropping it's price after the June 6th release of the Palm Pre,
and it is also expected that apple will reveal the new iphone, this information is actually priced in the stock, as apple has gone up 10% in the last few weeks, which is higher than industry average..
regardless, if the new iphone doesn't come out, the stock will get hit..

Not quite. It's just the current 8GB iPhone 3G for $100 less. Data plans will probably be the same. It's nothing that new as people have been getting refurb 3Gs for the same price.
AT&T has already talked about reducing their low end data plan since May, so the fact that apple came out with this will most likely end up with AT&T doing the same..
the talk is that with the last price drop in the Iphone, they increased sales by over 100%, so they made up in volume and revenues increased, and this is the sole reason apple did this
but AT&T can't really afford to drop their low end plan by more than 10 bucks, so it's not a huge difference..
personally, i think the 3g is fast enough, and the camera recorder doesn't really do it for me, but the extra 16gb sounds good..
