A mate of mines dad works for a UK carrier and has said the new iPhone prices have been internally released and said the new iPhone will be £180 on a £40 a month contract. No idea the GB of the iPhone thats all the info i have.

I was just wondering if i have missed any leaked info for the new iPhone (other than the millions of pictures) for pricing etc? As i cant believe the prices would be released 'internally' yet!

My mate wants an iPhone but after his dad told him this he wants the 3GS because he doesnt want to pay that much for the new one!?

there is no such thing as internally released? what would the point of that be.

you mates friends, dads, sisters, boyfriends, brothers, cousins, cat-loving-spouse's, 2nd niece is lying unfortunately.

This is my point. Just wanted to see if i missed any info on pricing?

Sorry, my reply is pointless, I just wanted to let you know that i wiped my screen 3 times before i realised the thing crawling around was you avatar :D

lol still gets me! But i love it :D

I don't believe this is true. Why would the price now be higher then the current price of the 3G and 3GS? When O2 had exclusivity on the iPhone, their prices were lower then your mates dad has said.

My question is, why has the carrier (that your mates dad works for) increased the price even though they know they now have competition?

Just doesn't make sense!

Gotta pay for that extra RAM! ;)

Prices haven't been internally released.

The carrier-specific iPhone teams are the only people who know the pricing. If they value their jobs, they will not release any information not sanctioned by Apple.

That price in the UK, if true, would only be at least for 24/36 month contracts.

If they have a blog, they are protected by the law for being a journalist, right gizmodo? :D

You sure?
Doesn't your second statement contradict your first?

From the UK side of things, we already know at least one person who was fired for leaking information out of the iPhone circle, close to release.

My second statement doesn't contradict, in context, internally meant corporate-wide.

heheh :D
