Maybe it’s a temporary glitch in the Matrix with the entire world pulling hard on iCloud servers with iPhone 13 delivery day. I bet if you wait a while all your passwords will populate Safari keychain again.

very frustrating....I've tried it 3 times (backing up) still not there....not sure what to do.

That is so odd. Do you have access to your passwords from another iDevice?

I know it’s not ideal but until your passwords show up somehow that could be your alternative.

Did you restore from a backup or do the wireless transfer method?

1) yes I still have my iPhone Pro Max 12....

2) I did both...(backup twice)....still not there

Just to update:

spoke with apple support (senior support) for over 3 hours last night…nothing worked.

have to go in and manually enter all my passwords again!🙈

This happened to me last year 😡 and yes I know which settings are needed and how to use iCloud/backups.

From that day keychain was thrown in the bin and I now use a well known password manager and I happily pay the small fee each month.

Very frustrating!!

I actually just went in one by one and re-did everyone....(time consuming, but I was able to delete ones I haven't used)

If Keychain isn’t linked to iCloud, then yes, all of its data is included in a local or iCloud backup.
