Hi there,
So happy to have found this discussion group.
Yesterday afternoon I completed a 15-day itinerary using OneNote, on my MacBook Pro.
Then I bought a new iPhone. *I loaded OneNote onto it, and then did a backup... which sort of worked.
Only sort of, because only half the data ended up on my iPhone. *So I did another backup with my MacBook Pro, and lost my whole itinerary in OneNote on my MacBook Pro! *
I think maybe I should have done a sync and not a backup (the new iTunes interface is different from the one I used to use with an older iPhone and older iOS). *But before I try anything, I'd like to ask for some help and advice.
Two extra (and perhaps key) pieces of information:
1. *when I used Time Machine to retrieve the OneNote data that I'd lost (from my home folder/Library/etc.) my itinerary came back... for five seconds, and then disappeared. *When I did the same thing again with my WiFi off, the itinerary stayed. *But as soon as I turned my WiFi back on, the info disappeared. *So some automatic syncing is going on with a Microsoft server or something, and the OneNote data on the server is overriding whatever I put in OneNote on my MacBook Pro. Is there a way for me to fix this?
and
2. *I notice in my iTunes window, when I've got my iPhone connected and chosen, that OneNote is NOT one of the apps listed in the File Sharing window.
It should be in there, shouldn't it? *Any suggestions as to how I can get it in there?
thanks so much for any help,
malch
