"New" iPhone Question

So I was kind stupid and got the iPhone 3G in April last year, then they announced 3GS. I canceled ATT and JB my phone to use on Tmo.

My question is, for those who got the 3GS when it was release, is it possible to sign back up for ATT (or Verizon if it's true), and pre-order the new iphone? Or does it not work like that?

You never know what Steve will do, We will have to wait to see if "preorders" will be possible. If you have no balance with ATT you will be able to sign up for a new contract and get the new iphone.
