Hey guys! I couldn't post this in the iphone news section...dunno why.

But I was just wondering, do you think that Apple is going to release a new iPhone on June 8 or whenever its keynote is?

I've read on this site about how the 3g stock is running low in Walmarts and such, the 3gS is going to go down to $99, and that there is a new iPhone coming out.

I just was wondering if it would be on sale on the day of the keynote, or if it would be more like when they announced the iPhone originally and waited a month or two to actually sell it?

I can't remember what they did when they announced the 3gS - if they put it in stores right after or if they waited.

The 3GS went on sale 11 days after being announced. Was announced on a Monday, pre-orders started that same day. It was released the next Friday. I'm guessing this year will be similar. I'd expect a 2 week period of wait at the most.

So will this be the same thing or what?
Yes. It will be out at Christmas, and Santa will deliver them directly to all good boys and girls, or you can pick them up directly from his lap at malls everywhere.

i'm thinking it's gonna be really soon after it's announced.

that would explain why the 3GS price at walmart is decreasing early and also the early stoppage of the 3G.
