I just got my iPhone 13 via AT&T and will be trading in my iPhone 8. If I activate my new phone but want to keep my old phone still active just in case for say a week how can you have two phones active on the same line? I'm with AT&T I'm assuming the old phone will only work on Wi-Fi once the new phone is active?

Only one phone at a time can have the same active phone number. But all phones can connect to the internet via Wi-Fi or tethering if your plan allows it. Traditionally we just swapped the SIM card from one iPhone to the next - back & forth to activate the phone number on that phone. But with ESIM it’s not as easy to do
