I jailbreaked my iphone 3GS and because it got very buggy I restored it. One of the things I did was I used SBsettings to enable tethering. There must be a file that gets hidden in the iphone backup file because when I restored it the tethering capability stayed. This could be huge because it may be a new way to enable tethering?

Interesting.
Are you still JB or you went stock?

Still JB. Now using PwnageTool. Before was redsn0w. I've had the tethering hack since before I was JB except after this JB I didn't do the commcenter stuff or bother to option-restore to get the hack, since I have MyWi. I just happened to notice the tethering in settings, and figured it would go away once I used it, but it actually works.

Cool.
Did you restore from backup thru itunes after pwnagetool or setup as new?
