New iPhone to be released on June 8th?

Hey everyone,

I was catching the bus a few days ago up here in Calgary (Canada), when I saw this advertisement in the bus shack that caught my attention (see the first attached image). Apologies for the contrasting surroundings, but my Krzr's camera is a peice. Anyway, it caught my attention cause the text used in the ad is exactly the same as the font and color used in all the other Telus [an iPhone carrier in Canada] ads (see second attached image). Now, although there is nothing linking the company to the ad, i feel there are two coincidences that make me believe that the ad is for a major release by Telus up here in Canada;
-The ad looks almost exactly like that of Telus
-What would be the point of advertising something without any additional information for June 8th?
