I just bought an iphone today. its a 16 gig 3GS phone. I checked the version and it says 3.1.3. I dont really know anything else heh. Im really new to this, so could someone help me on how to jailbreak it? so I can play games on it and all that. Ive also been told I they havent figured out how to jailbreak this version yet? Sorry if these questions are common, Im obviously new to this. thanks in advance!

No he can't.
3GS on 3.1.3 has to be downgraded to 3.1.2 (and he hasn't saved the SHSH blobs so that's a dead end). Even at 3.1.2, it depends on the Boot loader.
To OP:
It is possible one of the hacker groups "may" release a new JB tool later this month for 3.2 iPad firmware, but it should be downward compatible with firmware 3.1.3.

If that doesn't work out, then the next jailbreak will probably only be released after iPhone OS 4.0, later this summer.

There is no tethered or untethered jb for a stock 3.1.3 3GS.
Do some research and know your stuff before you try to correct me.
